S&C Sports Services is a Minnesota fastpitch organization run by coaches, for coaches, parents, athletes, and colleges. We host the events we would want to play in, and we coach the way we would want our own kids coached. Nothing more complicated than that.
Six things we hold the line on. Every tournament we run, every clinic we coach, every decision we make starts here.
Every decision should improve the experience, development, and opportunities available to the athletes we serve.
We believe coaches should be able to focus on their teams, not worry about schedules, communication, field conditions, or event logistics.
Teams invest significant time, money, and effort to compete. We work hard to provide quality competition and meaningful opportunities to play the game.
We do what we say we will do. We communicate honestly, treat people fairly, and make decisions based on what is right—not what is easiest.
Softball is a community. We value long-term relationships with athletes, coaches, parents, officials, college recruiters, and facility partners.
The game of softball isn’t ours — it’s simply our time with it. We strive to leave it better than we found it through stronger skill development, better tournaments, clearer communication, and more meaningful competition.
S&C Sports Services was founded by softball people who believed teams deserved better-run tournaments — with stronger communication, better competition, and an experience we’d want for our own players.
What started as one tournament weekend has grown into a 15+ event annual calendar spanning nearly nine months of the year. Today, S&C hosts outdoor showcases, high-level qualifiers, and the region’s largest indoor winter tournament series, drawing teams from across Minnesota and the greater Midwest.
Our events are built to bring strong teams together. For regional programs, they offer meaningful competition and exposure. For strong local teams, they provide a valuable benchmark — a chance to see where they stand against some of the best competition in the region.
Beyond tournaments, S&C offers summer and fall camps and clinics for athletes ages 10U through 18U, covering pitching, hitting, defense, and full-skill development. For athletes looking for more consistent development than camps and clinics, but less commitment than club softball, Midwest Speed also offers nine-month training through its Midwest Power program.
Based in Hugo, Minnesota, S&C operates tournaments across Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, partnering with trusted venues and providers to make events easier for families to navigate and more valuable for athletes to experience.
S&C is led by two longtime leaders in the softball community who have dedicated their careers to coaching, developing athletes, and creating opportunities for players and teams. Their shared commitment to excellence, integrity, and service drives everything S&C Sports Services does—from tournaments and showcases to clinics and player development programs.
For close to four decades, Sean Hall has dedicated his life to coaching, developing athletes, and building programs that help players reach their full potential. As Co-Founder and Program Director of S&C Sports Services, Sean has taken that same passion and applied it to creating tournament experiences that coaches, athletes, and families genuinely enjoy.
Sean’s philosophy is simple: run the kind of events he would want his own teams to attend. That mindset has shaped every aspect of S&C Sports Services, from tournament structure and scheduling to field quality, communication, and customer experience.
Over the years, Sean has built strong relationships throughout the softball community, including connections with college coaches, tournament directors, and program leaders across the Midwest. Those relationships help create meaningful recruiting opportunities and ensure S&C events remain connected to the needs of today’s athletes.
Sean oversees many of the core elements of tournament operations, including venue selection, scheduling, bracket development, weather planning, and event execution. His coaching background allows him to view every decision through the eyes of a coach, ensuring that teams receive a competitive, organized, and professional experience from start to finish.
Whether he is walking fields before sunrise, solving scheduling challenges, speaking with coaches, or planning future events, Sean remains committed to one goal: providing opportunities that help athletes grow both on and off the field.
Jeremy Chell has spent decades coaching athletes, building successful softball programs, and helping families navigate the competitive softball journey. As Co-Founder and Program Director of S&C Sports Services, Jeremy brings a unique combination of coaching experience, business leadership, and hands-on operational expertise.
While much of the work that makes a tournament successful happens behind the scenes, Jeremy is often at the center of it. He helps oversee the financial planning, logistics, facility operations, and organizational systems that allow S&C events to run smoothly throughout the year.
Jeremy’s leadership extends far beyond the office. On tournament weekends, he can often be found preparing fields, coordinating facility needs, troubleshooting operational issues, and doing whatever is necessary to ensure athletes and teams have a positive experience. His willingness to tackle both big-picture planning and day-to-day details has become a key part of S&C’s success.
As a longtime coach and mentor, Jeremy understands the investment that families make in youth sports. That perspective drives his commitment to creating events that are organized, efficient, and focused on what matters most — giving athletes the opportunity to compete, develop, and create lasting memories.
His dedication to serving teams, coaches, and families has helped establish S&C Sports Services as one of the Midwest’s most respected fastpitch tournament organizations.
The numbers behind the program. Years of experience operating events, a growing roster of college coach attendance, and a full calendar of tournaments and clinics that families return to year after year.
