S&C partners with EventConnect for negotiated hotel rates for some tournaments, but not all. If negotiated rates and hotel blocks are available, they will be in the registration in the individual tournament. We also do our best to ensure that teams are emailed the information in advance.
Most of our events run 10U through 18U. Showcase events typically run 14U–18U Gold only. Specific divisions are listed on each tournament page.
Our showcase events are designed to give teams and college coaches a fuller look at the game. Most events use a double-elimination bracket format, and games are scheduled for 90 minutes, which is longer than many traditional tournament games. That extra time allows athletes to settle in, coaches to see more live-game situations, and teams to compete in a more complete environment.
Weather is always a possibility, and we plan for it. Our team has contingency plans in place and will communicate updates as quickly and clearly as possible if weather impacts the schedule.
We use multiple communication methods — including email, text messages, and social media — to make sure teams receive timely weather-related updates. Our goal is to overcommunicate, keep everyone informed, and make the best decisions possible for the safety of athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.
Indoor events typically run as scheduled, except in cases of extreme snow, extreme cold, or unsafe travel conditions across the region. Please note that S&C Sports Services does not own or operate the dome facilities. Each dome location may make its own decision to close based on city, school district, facility ownership, or management policies. If a dome is closed due to inclement weather, we will communicate next steps as quickly as possible through our standard communication channels.
